Unique professional tapestry. Beginning with international conflict analysis work for the Aspen Institute, then followed by a decade in the fashion and television industries, I navigated high-pressure environments requiring both creative vision and practical negotiation skills.
I spent three years abroad as a trailing spouse, gaining firsthand experience with the complex dynamics of international relocations and the unique pressures they place on relationships. I decided to seek an amicable divorce from a foreign service officer due to career challenges, giving me personal insight into the unique circumstances faced by couples in non-traditional or international situations.
While navigating my divorce, I worked at DAI, advocating for bringing underserved individuals into software development and honing my ability to identify barriers and create pathways for equitable participation and outcomes. I then served as a teacher in the DC public school system, where I cultivated patience, empathy, and effective communication with diverse families during critical developmental periods post-covid.
This distinctive blend of experiences enables me to effectively facilitate couples through complex divorce negotiations. My diverse background helps me empathize with and validate the challenges divorcing people face, creating a neutral space where they can work toward balanced, holistic resolutions that nurture their family's emotional wellbeing while establishing sustainable financial foundations. I approach each case with the creativity, empathy, and thoughtfulness that my varied career path has instilled in me.
Imagine it
Don’t worry about how unrealistic your ideas might be when it comes to finding a resolution during divorce. Propose something out of the ordinary. There might be ideas that sprout from wild seeds, and it’s your life to live.
Build it
No one can say with one hundred percent confidence that their plan will fall into place exactly like they thought. The plan you envision will continue to evolve and your goal can just be for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
